Here is a video I shot covering my suggestions for fueling up before a workout and re-fueling afterwards. Failing to follow this simple advice can cut your results dramtically…

    Hi James; Do you have any thoughts on how pre and post nutrition for an interval session might compare or differ from a weight bearing routine. I ask simply because I’m currently alternating interval days with DB Combo days and my sense is that you were speaking more to weight bearing exercise with this post. Cheers Greg

    To be honest you can and perhaps should take a similar approach to intervals as you do strength training. This can add up to a lot of pre-and post workout supplement drinks but if you can swing it I’d recommend treating them the same from a nutrient timing perspective.

    Thanks for your perspective James. I’m not opposed to the drinks it was more a curiosity about the quantity of interval drink since the length of time is relatively short compared to a weight session or a trail ride. I don’t want to needlessly add calories if I can help it. Greg
