The best way to easily improve your strength…

Weight ladders are probably the best method I have ever come across for easily improving a mountain biker’s strength without making them feel sore and tired. It is almost sneaky how the method works – you end up doing a lot of reps with a heavy weight but you don’t overly extended yourself on any single set. If you’ve never heard of or tried weight ladders be sure to check out the video below to see how this method works.

Thanks James. Can the same principle be applied to bodyweight exercises? e.g. a ladder of exercise progressions, or a ladder of reps?

Sure, you can use Rep Ladders with any type of exercises, you just have to adjust the reps accordingly. If I was doing push ups, for example, I might do a 5/10/15 rep ladder or 10/20/30 for bodyweight squats.
