Something that I love to do is to write a training program. I’ve actually had a fascination with program design for long time – I remember sitting in the back of math class in high school writing out different workout splits and exercise combinations based on what I had learned from the muscle magazines I bought at the local convenience store.

Once you understand this system you’ll have a much better idea of how to avoid the common mistakes a lot of riders make with their off season training.

I didn’t realize it at the time but my obsession with learning everything I could about how to create training programs wasn’t normal. I thought everyone wanted to know how to manipulate their program to produce different results.

But, as I now know, this isn’t normal. My level of obsession has lead me to spend thousands of dollars and countless hours learning the best systems and refining them for use in the mountain biking world.

The good news for you is that I am also obsessed with sharing what I learn with you. This means that you don’t have to worry about learning everything you need to know from the areas of mobility, strength, skills and cardio (just to name a few) and how they all fit together.

Because I can show you how to do it.

What I’d like to do is share the exact systems and thought process I use to create an off season training plan. I’ll show you how I pull together everything you need into an integrated program and how to progress your program over the course of the off season.

And, since I like to keep things simple, I break it all down into a simple 3 step process:

– Focus: Learn how to find the right focus for each program, phase and workout.

– Progression: Learn how to progress exercises, set & rep schemes and skills training.

– Integration: Learn how to integrate everything you need into a complete program.

If you would like to learn more about the FPI system to program design and how to use it to help you make smarter training decisions then I’d like to invite you to join me for a free webinar. This webinar is going to be held tomorrow (Tuesday the 24th) at 10 am MT and you can register by clicking the link below:

Once you understand the Focus-Progression-Integration (FPI) system to program design you’ll have a much better idea of how to fit all of the puzzle pieces together.

This will help you avoid the common mistakes a lot of riders make with their off season training. Messing up even one step in the FPI system can lead to a lot of hard work with little to show for it on the trail.

If you join me live I’ll be holding an open Q&A at the end of the webinar where you can ask me any questions you may have about the presentation or your own off season training. I’ll also be sending out the replay link shortly after it is done if you can’t join me.

I’ll also be posting the replay and the audio file on Wednesday as well. I know that the info I share can help a lot of riders avoid a lot of frustration with bad off season training decisions and I’m excited to share it with you.

Before I go I wanted to give you a quick sneak peak at my upcoming Black Friday special. This year I am going to be releasing my latest update to the iconic Ultimate MTB Workout Program. This latest update pulls together everything you need to succeed into a single easy-to-follow program and it is the best way yet for me to show you exactly how to achieve your fitness and riding goals.

This new version also has something new – a 6 month In-Season Training Program. This gives you a full 12 month annual plan, plus you’ll get all 3 of the cardio training plans (Enduro Racing, XC Racing and DH Racing) and some special bonuses for Black Friday.

But more about that on Friday when I release the new program and announce the details of the special deal.

Right now you need to register for the free webinar so I can share with you the same FPI System I use to create every program I write.
