I love bacon.

You can use it for breakfast, lunch or dinner and it tastes great.

Plus, it can be healthy for you as well.

That’s right, something that we’ve been told for a long time will clog our arteries and make us fat can actually have the opposite effect.

Oh, and I like to watch people run around in a bacon outfit.

Well, actually just one guy in particular – Abel James.

Also known as The Fat Burning Man, Able is the star of a new fitness based reality show on ABC called My Diet is Better Than Your Diet.

On the show Able used the principles behind his Wild Diet to help Kurt lose 87 pounds in just 14 weeks.

And yes, dressing like bacon played a part.

Abel both had Kurt eating a Paleo inspired diet that included foods like bacon and Abel had to run a 5K with Kurt while dressed like a piece of bacon.

While Kurt didn’t win the competition, his transformation and the “ease” with which he did it shocked a lot of people.

It definitely made people take notice of Abel and his approach and has elevated him to “star trainer” status.

So, what does all of this have to do with you?

First, I highly recommend the Wild Diet as an excellent nutrition program. I mean, who doesn’t want to know how to perform and look great while being able to eat bacon?

And that brings me to the second thing I wanted to share with you – I was recently on The Far Burning Man Podcast.

Abel James is actually a fellow mountain biker and, through a mutual fan on Twitter, we got “introduced”.

It turns out that not only is Abel a fellow trail rider but he’s also a recent convert to the Flat Pedal Revolution. After years on clipless pedals he took some time off from riding and when he came back he wasn’t as keen on how they made his feet feel.

While doing some research on it he came across the Flat Pedal Revolution Manifesto and found the info in it enough to convince him that he didn’t need clipless pedals and he just stuck with flats. He’s loved the change and I recently sent him a pair of Catalyst Pedals to check out as well.

He asked me to come on his podcast and I was more than happy to go on and talk shop with a fellow mountain biker and fitness junkie. We had a great conversation and I had the chance to share a lot of great stories and information.
