    Wondering: Why didn’t you add a pushup to each burpee?

      To be honest we do these after a workout so we are usually a bit toasted. You certainly can add in a push up if you are doing this as a stand alone workout or did not do much horizontal pressing during the rest of your workout.

      Of course, you must also be able to maintain strict form on each rep. Just because the word “conditioning” is used doesn’t mean sloppy form is appropriate. Since a lot of people also don’t have the core and upper body strength to do good push ups in the first place I am hesitant to add them into a general combo drill.
