Late last year I had the honor of being interviewed by one of my mountain biking heroes Ryan Leech. I’ve had Ryan on my podcast before and he wanted to ask me about my views on all things riding for his Pro Visions Podcast.
I was more than happy to oblige and we spent almost 2 hours talking about a wide range of topics. While we talked some training the conversation quickly took some interesting turns and I ended up going on some signature BikeJames rants.
We covered a variety of controversial topics ranging from the direction the mountain bike industry is headed, the difference between the industry and culture of mountain biking and what I really hate about the whole clipless pedals vs. flat pedals conversation.
I’ll admit that I wasn’t as eloquent as I’d like to have been in a few spots (we didn’t have any scripted questions) and I may have said too much on a few subjects. I’m also sure that not everyone is going to agree with my opinion on everything.
But, controversial or not, a lot of it was stuff I had been thinking for a while and had just never said in public before so it felt good to get out there.
As always I’d love to hear your thoughts and opinions on what I had to say so please leave a comment under this blog post and share them. And if you liked this podcast be sure to click one of the Like or Share buttons below to help spread the word.
Until next time…
