Last year about this time I came out with my Nightmare Before Christmas cardio training circuit. It was a simple but brutal 4 exercise circuit and I had a lot of great feedback from riders who found it effective for building strength endurance. In the spirit of the holiday season, here is my new Nightmare Before Christmas 2 cardio circuit:
Exercise #1: Kettlebell Swing
Exercise #2: Burpee with Push Up
Exercise #3: Russian Twist
Exercise #4: Jump Rope/ Jumping Jacks
Go hard for 45 seconds and then rest for 15 seconds while you switch to the next exercise. Go through the circuit 3 times for a total of 12 exercises.
This circuit will take you less than 15 minutes to complete and will work your hips, core, upper body and cardio in one compact package. Use it the next time the weather outside is frightful but you want your trail fitness to be more delightful…Merry Christmas!
