Symptoms vs. Causes – Why knowing this is the most important thing for your mountain bike skills training.

Tomorrow I’m hosting another free webinar, this time going over the Top 3 Skills Training Myths. As always, I’m excited to share some great info but also nervous about doing a good job so that it makes sense.

There is a lot of material to cover and I don’t want to forget anything, which is why I’m working on the slides and notes for the presentation tomorrow at 10 am MT.

But I wanted to take a break from them to share something with you that will help explain why this webinar is going to be so important for you to watch. It is a major theme that I’ll be touching on a lot because understanding it was a turning point in my own training and skills development.

This theme is understanding “Symptoms vs. Causes”. In medicine they know to address the symptom but to treat the cause but this doesn’t spill over into all realms. In fact, in the world of movement coaching – which includes strength coaching and skills coaching – it isn’t a well understood concept.

To help explain it and why it is so important check out this short video I shot a this morning going over this concept and how it applies both in the gym and on the bike.
